Oscar Roverato
Head Coach
Fort Bragg Fighting Fish swim team head coach Oscar Roverato brings a unique and exciting prospective to our program. He believes each and every swimmer, given the right motivation and coaching, will reach potential beyond expectation. Through his own conviction and determination, coach Oscar teaches each swimmer to set goals and to dream big. The character that is developed in his swim program carries into every aspect of life.
Coach Oscar earned his B.S. and Master Degree in Sport Science and his coaching career includes college coaching experience in Soccer, Track & Field, Volleyball and Tennis. He possesses an extensive knowledge of sports physiology and biomechanics, which is evident in his training regiment.
In 2005 he founded the fayetteville Flying Fish swim team where in only 4 years he has produced tremendous results. The team started with only 5 swimmers and at the end of the 2009 season reached 120 swimmers. ALL seniors' swimmers received full scholarship in swimming.
Coach Oscar believes that the new Fort Bragg Fighting Fish swim team will mark a new era for swimming in our community.
